Privacy and Data Protection Policy

LiftMe is run by the Wellspring Empowerment Support Organisation (WESO), and we take how we handle your data seriously. Here's the short version of what that means.

  • We only collect the information we genuinely need, things like your name, contact details, and payment information if you're sponsoring a child, or verification documents if you're a beneficiary or partner school.
  • We use your information to run the sponsorship programme, keep you updated, and meet our legal and reporting obligations. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone outside WESO without good reason and proper safeguards.
  • Children's information gets extra protection. Photos, stories, and personal details of beneficiaries are only shared in ways that respect their dignity and privacy, and never in a way that could put them at risk.
  • Your data is stored securely, with access limited to the people who genuinely need it to do their jobs.
  • You have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
  • This policy is built around Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and overseen by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
